Assembly superstars

Thank you to Ms Robinson and the year 5/6 ninja students of room 11 for hosting our school assembly today. Watching the video of what a friend means to them and seeing them perform Kung Fu Fighting was great fun and had strong messages about friendship. This aligns with our fabulous URSTRONG whole-school friendship program that we are implementing at KPS

Meet and Greet

It was wonderful to see our families attend the parent and carers information meeting last week. I appreciate that it is not always possible to attend school meetings so please ensure that you received a hard copy of the processes and programs in your child’s classroom.

NAPLAN 2025

Students in Years 3 and 5 at our school will be participating in NAPLAN testing between 12-24^th March. To support in school and student readiness for the testing, over the past week our Year 3 and 5 students have participated in practice tests to assist in familiarising them with the format of the online tests.

School Council

On Tuesday 25 March our School Council will meet for the first time in 2025. We will have a meeting sharing policy, planning and sharing updates for 2025. The School Council has distinct functions provided under the legislation, understanding, informing and making decisions to benefit our school. As Principal, my role is the overall operational management of the school, but I do regularly consult and share information with the School Council. The elected members include parents and staff and a member from our community. Meeting time 1.45 – 2.45 pm

Calendar Amendment

Please note that due to the School Education Act Employees General Agreement, 2023, teachers are required to formally report on students at the end of semester one and semester two. Due to this Department up-date, there will be no student interim report this term.

Community Breakfast
