Dear Parents & Carers
It’s hard to believe that the 2024 school year is almost over and we’re approaching our much-needed Summer holidays. I wanted to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for another wonderful year and for entrusting us with the education of your precious children.
It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that I will not be returning to Kingsley Primary in 2025. I am taking leave and embarking on an exciting adventure to America… where I will reside in New Orleans for the year. Whilst I am thrilled about this new chapter, I am also saddened to be leaving my Kingsley family.
Mrs. Caroline Churchill has been appointed as Principal in my absence, and I am confident that you will extend to her the same warmth and support that you have shown me. Mrs Churchill visited our school today and was highly impressed by the warm welcome that she received from staff and students. She was also inspired by our beautiful grounds and the calm and positive feeling that she experienced as we toured the school.
We also bid farewell to three longstanding members of the Kingsley family. Miss Bec Clarkson, Ms Kaye Marie and Mrs Bec Jardine are leaving to pursue a new chapter in their lives. We wish to thank them all for the contributions that they have made to our Kinglsey community and wish them every success and happiness with their new endeavours. We also welcome back Miss Katelyn Robinson, who is returning after 12 months teaching in Shark Bay…we always knew that she’d return to Kingsley!
I wish each and every one of you a safe, joyful, and relaxing holiday season. I look forward to reuniting with you all upon my return in 2026. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and for making my time at Kingsley Primary so memorable.
Sam Goodlad
