NEWSLETTER Term 4 Week 6

Kaya Parents & Carers

It’s easy to tell that we’re now in Kambarang season by the beautiful weather that has been bestowed upon us this week. Term four has seen us working away like busy bees in a hive, and we have four eventful weeks before we say farewell and enjoy the summer break with our families.

Last week, Mrs Button and I had the privilege of attending the Massed Choir Festival at HBF Stadium in Mount Claremont. My heart was bursting with pride as we watched our Kingsley kids sing their hearts out on the big stage with over 600 students from other schools throughout Perth. A big shout out to Mrs O’Neill for her efforts with our talented choir, and to Mrs Memarian for helping out on the day.

Swimming lessons commence next week and I’m hoping that the weather stays warm for us. Please note, students will only be able to order cold lunches from the Kingsley Deli for the next two weeks. As of Week 9, students will again be able to order from the regular menu.

The Department of Education is rolling out a new operating system, which will streamline communication processes between home and school. We are due to go live on Tuesday 3 December with the new system, and we ask for your patience as we transition to a new way of working.

The last four weeks sees many exciting events on our calendar including our Book Award Assembly, Affirmation Award Assembly and our Year 6 Graduation Ceremony. Please continue to check the school calendar on our website to ensure that you keep up to date.

Take care.

Massed Choir Festival 2024

After 4 terms of spending Tuesday afternoons with Mrs O’Neill learning 11 different songs, on Tuesday 5thNovember at HBF Stadium Kingsley Choir sung their hearts outs. ‘Livin on a Prayer, Sir Duke, Million Dreams” and other songs were heard reverberating around the stadium along with over 200 students from 10 different schools.

Our very own Minerva had a solo part in the song “You’ve got a True Friend”. Minerva stood on the stage with utter confidence and sung her solo just beautifully. It was a special moment for Kingsley PS Choir.

Congratulations for all the Kingsley Massed Choir students for their commitment to our concert and to their families who supported them, thank you.

Thank to you Mrs Mermarian coming and supporting us for the full day rehearsal and the concert. To Mrs Goodlad and Mrs Button thanks for coming to see our students in all their wonder, singing, dancing and being joyful!!
