Kaya Parents & Carers
Term 3 is swiftly sweeping us along with its array of engaging whole school events. A huge thank you to parents and students for their understanding and flexibility with having to re-schedule the Athletics Carnival to the Monday. It turned out to be an excellent move, as the conditions allowed all involved to have a fantastic day. It was great to see so many community members attending, and even better to see the faces of our incredible Kingsley Primary School students sporting smiles when in the bays, and grit and determination while on the track. The whole day was a resounding success, with the highlight being the sportsmanship shown between students and factions. A big shout-out to our amazing staff who worked tirelessly before, during, and after the carnival to ensure it ran smoothly and efficiently. Well done everyone! A selection of our elite athletes are now in training to compete in the Interschool Athletics Carnival on the 6th of September.
The next big-ticket event for the school is our extremely popular EduDance concert, scheduled to be held on Wednesday 11th September at 6:15pm. Students have been busy practising each Wednesday, and are now fine tuning and polishing their performances. Dance is part of the Western Australian Curriculum as a subset of The Arts. Students have been learning many skills, combining the dance elements of Body, Energy, Space and Time to rehearse, and ultimately perform a choreographed dance routine. And also, it’s a lot of fun! Be sure to enter the date in your calendars so you can tell everybody you know you were there when *enter future global popstar sensation’s name* performed for the first time in front of a crowd. We look forward to seeing you there.

Kingsley’s New Chaplain
My name is Mel, and I’m excited to join Kingsley Primary School as the new school chaplain. As a proud mum of three grown children, I understand the joys and challenges of family life. I’m passionate about supporting our students’ emotional and social well-being and helping them manage their emotions and build positive relationships.
When I’m not at school, I love spending time outdoors and exploring our beautiful beaches. At home, my family includes two dogs, five chickens, one rabbit, and three fish, all bringing me joy.
I look forward to working with the Kingsley community and supporting our wonderful students, parents, and staff.

Kingsley Athletics Carnival
On Monday 26th August we celebrated our Athletics Carnival, thankfully the weather held out for us. It was a fantastic day and great to see all the students getting so involved in the races and cheering on their fellow faction mates. Well done to the Kaarda Faction on winning the most points!

Book Week Parade
On Friday 23rd August, Kingsley held our annual Book parade and what a turn out it was, so many amazing costumes. Mr Dagostino took over the microphone, keeping things moving along and the crowd entertained. Thank you to all of the students, staff and parents who put time into making the wonderful costumes.
