From the Principal
Kaya, Wanjoo Parents & Carers,
It’s hard to believe that we only have one more week of school for this term.
Last week we held our first School Council meeting for the year. It was great to see parents/carers giving their time and expertise to ensure KPS continues to have a positive, informed and successful school community.
All students in Pre-Primary have completed On Entry Testing modules. Staff are currently engaging with the available data and using this to inform their teaching and learning programs. Parents from these year levels will receive a report outlining concepts that the students have grasped towards the end of this term.
Students in Year 3 and 5 have sat all their NAPLAN tests for 2025. Thank you for supporting students during this time of testing.
Today our fabulous room 1, yr1 & yr2 students hosted today’s assembly. The students have been working with Mrs O’Neill and Mrs Ward on their performance of Koort Boodja which is a song which means heartland. This is a song written by Natasha Blurton who comes from Whadjuk country (Perth). Koort Boodja is a song about the land on which we meet, Whadjuk Boodja Boorloo. Thank you to our students and teachers and EAs. We all enjoyed your performance.
Today we presented our class merit certificates and our Kingsley Way Awards. Congratulations to all those students who were worthy recipients of the awards.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish our school community a safe and relaxing school holidays. We look forward to our students returning on Monday 28 April.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Kingsley Primary School

Kingsley Girls Set to Shine at Soccer Carnival!
For the first time ever, Kingsley will compete in the School Sports WA Soccer Girls Championship Cup. The carnival is set to take place on Friday May 9th (Term 2, Week 2) at Hossack Reserve, where the girls will go head-to-head with teams from other schools in the Eastern region. Over the past few weeks, they have been putting in the hard work, training every Wednesday after school with a lot of determination to represent Kingsley with pride.
Mr Matthew Nicholas
Classroom Teacher

A victory at the carnival would secure Kingsley a spot in the WA State Championship Finals on May 16th!
