NEWSLETTER Term 1 Week 8

Kaya and Wanjoo,

As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding school term, I would like to take a moment to reflect on all that our students have achieved and celebrate the many highlights from the past weeks.

The Suara Dance Company performed for our year 3-6 students as they learnt more about Indonesia through storytelling and dance.

Our year 6 leaders attended a Youth Leadership Conference, and we had our fabulous Kingsley welcome breakfast at Creyk Park. NAPLAN testing (yr. 3 & 5) and On-Entry testing (Pre-primary) were conducted, and this valuable information assists the school to track and improve student outcomes.

Last Friday we had our Harmony Day celebrations with staff and students wearing orange or their traditional clothing/cultural dress.

Next Thursday we have our Easter Hat parade. On the last day of school, as a thank you to our wonderful students who have “good standing”, by following our positive behaviour expectations, we are having a clue-based hunt around the school, which will be loads of fun.

Our year 6 students will attend their first Bickley Outdoor Recreation Camp on 31 March and enjoy fabulous team building activities.

We are proud at Kingsley to be able to offer our students various learning opportunities both in and outside the classroom.

It is a pleasure and a privilege to be your school principal. I am incredibly proud of our students and extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff and supportive families. Education is a partnership, and the strength of our community lies in the way we work together to ensure every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their potential.

As we head into the break, we encourage students to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Reading regularly and staying curious about the world around them will help keep their minds active for the term ahead.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 20 April, refreshed and ready for more learning.

Thank you for your ongoing support of KPS
